Erskine actress, writer and director Eilidh Loan has had great national press coverage in advance of the premier of her new play, Moorcroft.
The play is based on stories about her dad’s childhood in Renfrew and is on at the Tron Theatre in Glasgow from Thursday 17th February to Saturday 5th March. Get more details from the Tron.
An ebi.scot reader has given Moorcroft a rave review:
The cast of Moorcroft received a rapturous standing ovation at the end of Saturday’s performance. Written and directed around her fathers stories of male bonding, through the birth and life of an extraordinary ‘wee fitba team’, local actress Eilidh Loan has created a moving tale with laughter and tears in equal measure. With a superb cast, unique staging, clever choreography and a whip smart script, Eilidh takes us back to the 80s following the ups and downs of a disparate group of pals. Running until the 5th of March, the play is highly recommended…a real belter!
