Appeal for photos – EBI Walkers Unite!

Published: October 15, 2021

Please send any photos you have from nearby walks  –  landmarks, flowers, wildlife – to hello@ebi.scot and we can make a video to promote walking in our area.

These pictures of walking on the Whithorn Way from Paisley are a reminder of the great places we have also in the wider area – and the good weather we had only a short time ago!  However there’s lots to enjoy out and about in Erskine, Inchinnan and Bishopton whatever the time of year, as you can see at https://ebi.scot/category/walks-cycling/

Keen walkers may be interested in this new project to create a National Walking Network – https://beta.slowways.org/which says that “ It’s designed to make it easier for people to imagine, plan and go on walking journeys.

Some routes from Erskine, Bishopton and Inchinnan have already been mapped out and distances measured. These include Erskine-Bishopton, Erskine-Johnstone, Erskine-Renfrew, Bishopton-Old Kilpatrick, Bishopton-Kilmacolm. The Slow Ways project would love feedback on the published routes and for more to be added. There’s no Slow Ways routes starting from Inchinnan yet, so there’s a challenge!

Thanks to local photographer Brian Moyes for the pictures used with this article.
