In Scotland, the Disability Living Allowance for children is being replaced by a new benefit called Child Disability Payment. This is due to a transfer in responsibility for benefits from the UK Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) to Social Security Scotland.
There will be no difference in the amount of benefit paid and children and young people in Scotland will continue to get Child Disability Payment until they are 18. Local people may still have questions about this change to the benefits system. These questions may be answered in the factsheet below and you can also go to: https://www.mygov.scot/disability-living-allowance-children for information.
