Inchinnan Development Trust (IDT) has been successful in securing funding from the Scottish Land Fund to purchase Teucheen wood. This is a great outcome that will lead to Teucheen becoming Inchinnan’s first community asset, owned by the village and manged by residents. In recent weeks local people were asked take part in a community consultation about the community ownership development.
All of this has been going alongside activity to better preserve this woodland area, with the Inchinnan Development Trust working closely with partners including the Community Woodland Association Community Land Scotland, Friends of the Earth, Glasgow Airport and others. A ‘Friends of Teucheen Woods’ Facebook page is being created to keep everyone up to date the preservation and development of the woodland.
