Data - a commuity asset for improvement
This area of the website will explore how the use of data can help to understand more about our local place and some of our key challenges.
- EBI.scot is currently working with Astrosat as part of a European Space Agency funded Isolation + project to look at how satellite data can be applied to local areas to help identify needs in the population.
- This digital map of the EBI area provides population and income data from the Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation (SIMD). This type of data is presented nationally as a series of numbered data zones. The EBI area has 33 datazones and in this map the information is linked to recognisable names of local neighbourhoods. Thanks to Renfrewshire Council for providing the digital map.
Please get in contact via the Feedback link below if you are interested in being involved in using data as a local asset. This could invovle helping to test the mapping system from Astrosat, using the available tools for your own data project or working with the Council to look at ways in which their systems and data assets can be best used to help the EBI community.
